Kuwait city: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi affirmed that the GCC member states are deeply committed to developing the industrial sector as a key element for achieving sustainable development and economic prosperity across the region. He stated that this commitment is being pursued actively through the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, which exerts significant efforts to support the journey of joint Gulf action in this field.

According to Saudi Press Agency, these remarks were made during the 55th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, held today in the State of Kuwait. The meeting was chaired by Minister of Commerce and Industry of the State of Kuwait and president of the current session Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel and was attended by the ministers of industry from all GCC states.

The secretary-general reflected on the “blessed journey of the GCC,” noting that it has already achieved great accomplishments that have contributed to realizing many of the goals set by the GCC leaders to enhance joint action and integration in all fields. He specifically pointed out the success in joint Gulf action within the industrial sector and the continued aspiration to reach the utmost stages of integration in this area, fulfilling the ambitions of both the leaders and the citizens.

The secretary-general clarified that the urgent need for the industrial sector is greater today than ever before to bolster manufacturing industries and increase the added value of available resources in the GCC states. He concluded that this will enhance the bloc’s ability to compete in global markets, and achieving this goal requires integrated strategies and advanced industrial policies that actively support innovation and encourage investment in modern technology and industrial infrastructure.
