Washington: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi met with People’s Bank of China (PBOC) Governor Dr. Pan Gongsheng on the sidelines of the 2025 annual meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the areas of cooperation between the GCC member states and China. The discussions included exploring ways to strengthen financial and banking relations between the two sides to support financial stability and expand Gulf-Chinese cooperation.
The GCC secretary-general emphasized the commitment of GCC states to bolster their economic and financial partnership with China. This commitment aims to support global economic stability, promote sustainable development, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and enhance coordination on issues of mutual interest.
