Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi has issued a strong condemnation of the terrorist attacks conducted by the Houthi militia targeting the Najran Region in Saudi Arabia. These attacks resulted in injuries to several civilians, highlighting the violent tactics of the militia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi emphasized that the attacks by the Houthi militia constitute a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. He described the assaults as deliberate and indiscriminate, targeting civilians and civilian infrastructures. This act is seen as a direct challenge to international norms and charters, presenting significant risks to both regional and international security and stability.

Albudaiwi reiterated the Gulf Cooperation Council's stance that the security of Saudi Arabia is closely linked to the security of all GCC member states. He expressed the council's unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, endorsing all necessary measures the Kingdom takes to ensure its security, uphold its sovereignty, and protect its citizens and residents.
