Riyadh: Gulf Cooperation Council GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi welcomed the announcement by President Ahmed al-Sharaa of the Syrian Arab Republic regarding the conclusion of a new agreement with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the provisions it includes that contribute to strengthening and maintaining security and stability in Syria, as well as its unity and sovereignty over its territory. According to Saudi Press Agency, he emphasized what was stated in the final communiqué issued by the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the leaders of the GCC states, regarding the importance of respecting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, noting that Syria's security and stability are a fundamental pillar of regional security and stability. He wished Syria and its brotherly people lasting security and stability, and further progress and prosperity.
