The Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of titanium dioxide (TiO2) from China.
This follows the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade, issued on November 23, 2022. Article 4 states that “GAFT is responsible for trade remedies, including investigations, reviews, and imposing measures in line with Saudi Arabia’s international commitments, specifically the Anti-Dumping Agreement, the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and the Safeguard Agreement.”
The law aims to protect domestic industry from dumped and subsidized imports, safeguard against import surges, and defend Saudi Arabia’s exports subject to trade remedy proceedings. For more information, visit GAFT’s website at gaft.gov.sa.
