GACA Mobilizes Full Capacity to Support Regional Air Traffic Through Saudi Airports

Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said it continues to coordinate with relevant authorities to facilitate flights of neighboring countries' carriers through the Kingdom's airports, under leadership directives and current exceptional circumstances, supporting the continuity of regional air navigation and ensuring efficient passenger services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's airports continue to receive flights from regional carriers regularly and with high operational readiness, while facilitating all procedures, reinforcing the Kingdom's regional standing and supporting the traveler movement.

Saudi airports have handled more than 120 flights for neighboring countries' carriers between February 28 and March 16, including Qatar Airways, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, Jazeera Airways, and Iraqi Airways, with coordination to operate additional flights to return passengers to their destinations.

The authority continues to coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure smooth air navigation and uninterrupted services, affirming that the Saudi aviation sector has advanced operational infrastructure and logistical capabilities to accommodate additional traffic in line with the highest safety and efficiency standards.
