Fourth Work and Learn International Track Kicks Off in Madrid, Athens

Madrid: The Theater and Performing Arts Commission has launched the fourth edition of the Work and Learn - International Track project, a professional training program that will run between Madrid and Athens from August 2 to November 8, 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program brings together a group of Saudi theater practitioners specializing in technical theater disciplines. The initiative is designed to provide an integrated hands-on experience that combines practical training with direct engagement with international theater institutions and professionals.

The program includes a range of specialized training modules and activities aimed at enriching participants' professional experience and supporting their future careers in directing, lighting design, sound design, decoration, and scenography. It also exposes participants to advanced techniques in professional theater environments.

Participants will also develop their technical, administrative, and production skills while building professional networks and gaining insights into the latest international practices in the theater sector.

The commission said Work and Learn is a qualitative initiative that reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in national talent and preparing Saudi theater practitioners to benefit from international experience. The initiative aims to enable participants to transfer knowledge and expertise to the local theater sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the Kingdom's cultural sector.
