Riyadh: Four falcons – three Mongolian and one local – were sold Wednesday for a total of SAR652,000 at the 2025 International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition amid strong competition among bidders and enthusiastic audience participation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the auction began with Mongolian falcons, starting with a hur qarnas (adult falcon) sold for SAR200,000, followed by a hur farkh sold for SAR90,000. The third Mongolian hur qarnas opened at SAR70,000 and was eventually sold for SAR201,000.
The evening concluded with the local falcon auction, featuring a shaheen farkh (juvenile) falcon; the bidding started at SAR30,000, and the falcon was sold for SAR161,000.
For the first time in its history, the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition has dedicated a special zone for Mongolian falcons, which hold a distinguished status among falconers in the Kingdom and the region for their exceptional quality.
