Five Sites in Prophet’s Mosque Enrich Visitors’ Experience

Madinah: The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah offers a rich spiritual and cultural experience through several sites and exhibitions that illuminate Islamic history and heritage. Among these is the International Fair of the Prophet’s Biography, located in the southern part of the mosque. This comprehensive scientific and cultural edifice presents Islam in its noble and beautiful essence, highlighting the character, morals, and teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Rare Manuscripts Exhibition, situated in the southern courtyards, showcases an impressive collection of manuscripts that reflect the depth of Arab and Islamic heritage. Visitors can explore inscriptions on various materials and calligraphic styles that trace the evolution of writing across different eras.

ive technologies.

The Prophet’s Mosque Library, located on the western side, houses an extensive collection of resources, including a manuscript section, an audio library, an art section, and a dedicated space for rare books.

Inside the mosque, the Manuscripts and Rare Books Section preserves a vast collection of historical treasures, featuring approximately 4,052 original manuscripts, 60,000 digital manuscripts, and 4,600 photocopied manuscripts. It also contains 250 handwritten copies of the holy Quran and 200 printed copies.
