Jeddah: The fifth annual Red Sea International Film Festival continued Monday in Historic Jeddah, featuring film screenings at the Culture Square alongside an accelerated professional program at the Red Sea Souk, hosting a series of sessions, panels, and presentations supporting the film industry.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the red-carpet screenings featured a selection of films attended by their creators and stars, including ‘Farruquito’ and ‘A Matter of Life and Death,’ in a celebratory atmosphere that allowed audiences to meet the artists and engage with them about their cinematic experiences.

The Cultural Garden continued offering open-air film screenings, aiming to bring cinema closer to the heart of the city and provide audiences with a unique communal viewing experience through a selection of local and international films available to attendees of all ages.

The festival hosted four prominent artists in a panel discussion, where they shared their career journeys, experiences in the film industry, and the global changes shaping cinema.

Meanwhile, the Red Sea Souk featured an intensive professional program spread across Cultural Garden, the Forum rooms, and the Talent Days rooms, starting with a special screening of ‘Late Shift’ as part of the Souk Awards program, followed by a screening of ‘A Sad and Beautiful World.’

The day concluded with an event hosted by the U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia in the Souk Forum Room 2, providing a professional and friendly environment that facilitated knowledge exchange and networking to explore potential collaborations for future film projects.
