Malham: The Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2025 held its ninth night yesterday at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh. The auction coincides with this year’s hunting season in the Kingdom, which runs from October 1 until November 30.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the evening saw the sale of a Shaheen falcon, which attracted significant attention. Bidding opened at SAR50,000 and concluded with the falcon selling for SAR120,000.
The club offers a comprehensive range of services for falconers, including transportation, accommodation, and sale documentation. Additionally, the auction is broadcast live on television channels and social media platforms, ensuring wider accessibility. At the conclusion of the event, the club awards prizes to the falconers, further supporting this rich cultural tradition and promoting its economic and social growth.
The auction plays a vital role in preserving the Kingdom’s cultural heritage. It helps pass down falconry knowledge to younger generations while providing a significant source of income for hundreds of local falconers.
