Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, confirmed today, Monday, that the Israeli aggression on Gaza, contravenes international laws and agreements.

The Judicial Council said in a statement: “Today, the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, received the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, accompanied by the Vice President of the Council, Musa Farah, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Baghdad, Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, where the two parties discussed the brutal Israeli aggression and the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.”

"The Head of the Supreme Judicial Council affirmed Iraq's full support for the Palestinian people in defending their legitimate rights, stressing the necessity of ending the state of aggression against the Palestinian people due to its conflict with international laws and agreements.

The meeting was attended by Judge Laith Jabr, head of the Judicial Supervision Authority.”
