Events Investment Fund and Saudi Shooting Federation Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Shooting Sports Development

Riyadh: The Events Investment Fund signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Shooting Federation, aimed at enhancing joint collaboration in the development of shooting sports and supporting specialized infrastructure, contributing to strengthening the Kingdom's readiness to host major sports tournaments and events in line with global best practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement comes as part of the fund's strategy to develop high-quality sports destinations across the Kingdom, through investing in specialized assets and facilities that support the growth of the sports sector and deliver integrated sports and entertainment experiences that meet the expectations of diverse audiences and participants.

The collaboration will focus on supporting the technical and operational aspects of shooting range projects developed by the fund across the Kingdom, including the Riyadh Shooting Range project located in Qiddiya City, which was previously announced during the Tourise conference. The project stands as a flagship development reflecting the fund's direction towards creating world-class sports infrastructure.

The project spans approximately 450,000 square meters, with an estimated investment of SAR491 million. It will feature advanced training facilities and professional shooting ranges built to international standards, designed to host Shooting World Cup events and other major international competitions. In addition, it will include integrated entertainment zones and experiences catering to individuals and families, such as paintball, airsoft, and interactive shooting experiences, further positioning the Kingdom as a leading destination for niche sports and major global events.

The scope of cooperation also extends to other projects being developed by the fund in Jeddah, as part of its plan to expand a network of specialized sports assets and enhance their operational and technical readiness in partnership with relevant national entities.

Acting CEO of the Events Investment Fund Qusai Al-Fakhri said in a press release: "This agreement represents an important step in advancing the development of specialized sports facilities in partnership with the Saudi Shooting Federation, supporting the sector's objectives and enabling the delivery of world-class experiences."

President of the Saudi Shooting Federation Abdullah Al-Dosari stated: "We are proud of this partnership with the Events Investment Fund, which will contribute to developing a professional environment for shooting sports, enabling the hosting of tournaments and supporting the development of a new generation of athletes."

The Events Investment Fund continues to implement its strategy to develop sustainable event infrastructure across the sectors of sports, culture, tourism, and entertainment, through strategic partnerships with national entities and the private sector, contributing to long-term economic and social impact.
