Brussels: The European Union has issued a strong condemnation of the recent wave of Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and government-controlled areas in Yemen. The assaults, which included strikes in the Najran region and Marib city, have resulted in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to European Union, the organization expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the Government of Yemen, offering condolences to the families of the victims. The EU emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure is unacceptable and called for an immediate cessation of such attacks. The continued aggression by the Houthis is viewed as a dangerous escalation that undermines regional stability and threatens ongoing efforts for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
The European Union has urged the Houthis to halt all attacks within and outside of Yemen immediately. It reiterated its commitment to supporting the people of Yemen and collaborating with the United Nations, regional partners, and the international community to encourage de-escalation, regional stability, and a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable peace.
