Estidamah Concludes International Workshop on Smart Agricultural Solutions

Riyadh: The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) yesterday concluded its third international virtual workshop focused on advancing Saudi Arabia’s agricultural sector through smart and innovative solutions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event was held under the patronage of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley and brought together over 6,000 participants. These participants included experts and researchers from universities, research centers, and companies specializing in modern agricultural technologies.

The workshop featured 16 speakers from eight countries. Discussions centered around global trends in smart agriculture, efficient resource management, remote sensing, and precision farming. The speakers also presented practical applications aimed at supporting the sustainability of agricultural systems.

Estidamah Director General Dr. Khalid Al-Ruhaili emphasized that the workshop plays a role in supporting the national agricultural research and innovation ecosystem. It does so by strengthening knowledge transfer, enabling the adoption of modern technologies, and developing scientific solutions that enhance production efficiency and resource sustainability.
