Riyadh: The charitable association for drinking water services, Erwaa, has signed a cooperation agreement with Yemen's Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to implement relief and humanitarian projects in the water sector in Yemen, with support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

According to Saudi Press Agency, under the agreement, Erwaa will implement sustainable projects, including well drilling, establishing water purification and desalination plants, and constructing water tanks and distribution networks. The projects also include operating and maintaining water projects. Together, these efforts aim to improve the quality of life and enhance water security in the targeted communities.

Erwaa expressed its appreciation to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for facilitating the issuance of the necessary licenses for the association to operate in Yemen as one of Saudi Arabia's nonprofit organizations. It said the support will help advance the humanitarian objectives pursued by the center.

The agreement is part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in safe drinking water for areas in need, improve living standards, and preserve water resources worldwide.
