Riyadh: The Special Forces for Environmental Security are presenting a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone at the Ministry of Interior pavilion during the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh, running from February 8 to 12. The drone is designed to enhance field operations for environmental protection and security.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the drone is equipped for long-range reconnaissance and surveillance, supporting search-and-rescue missions, tracking violators, monitoring encroachments, and safeguarding the boundaries of protected areas. It is also capable of responding to environmental emergencies and disasters.
The drone features thermal and day cameras, advanced sensor systems, and secure long-range communication and control capabilities. By leveraging artificial intelligence for autonomous navigation and data analysis, it is highly adaptable across diverse operational environments, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into environmental security efforts.
