Environment Ministry to Launch First International Forum for Saudi Reef.

Al-Ahsa Governorate: The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture is preparing to host the inaugural First International Forum for Saudi Reef from December 16 to 18 in Al-Ahsa Governorate. The event will bring together a distinguished group of local and international experts to promote the prosperity and sustainability of rural communities through applying modern technologies and innovative practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the head of the forum’s preparatory committee, Dr. Maha Aldhahi, noted that the event is under the patronage of Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and is organized with strong support from Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley. She emphasized that the forum aims to showcase Saudi Arabia’s efforts to achieve sustainable rural agricultural development, highlighting the Kingdom’s pioneering Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Reef Saudi) and its role in empowering rural communities and enhancing their con
tribution to sustainable development.

Dr. Aldhahi added that the forum will focus on the rich diversity of Saudi rural areas while promoting international collaboration, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in rural agricultural communities, attracting local and international investments in the rural sector, localizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices, and developing local and global partnerships. The event will also serve as a platform for exchanging expertise to build a sustainable future for small-scale farmers in rural areas.

The forum is a premier event in rural development, bringing together leading experts and researchers in innovation, emerging technologies, and sustainable development from Saudi Arabia and beyond. The forum aims to contribute to developing rural communities and their prosperity through the latest solutions and innovative scientific practices.
