Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Environmental Fund have inked five significant agreements and memorandums of understanding with Tanmiah Food Company, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Saudia Group, and Petromin. This initiative is aimed at boosting investment and fostering innovation in Saudi Arabia's environmental and agricultural sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreements were signed under the patronage of Minister Abdulrahman Alfadley. They are designed to support research, development, and innovation in agriculture and the environment, attract investment, and encourage private-sector participation in achieving the Kingdom's sustainability and development goals.

One notable agreement with Tanmiah Food Company focuses on agricultural research and innovation, specifically in developing poultry products. This partnership also includes mutual training, capacity building, and knowledge exchange to enhance national capabilities and optimize the expertise and resources of both parties.

The Environmental Fund has secured four agreements and memorandums of understanding with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Saudia Group, Tanmiah Food Company, and Petromin. These agreements encompass a wide range of areas, including environmental investment, sustainability, research, studies, financing, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

Through its collaboration with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the Environmental Fund aims to invest in leading global companies and promising technologies in the environmental sector. The goal is to localize these technologies in Saudi Arabia and support the growth of the domestic environmental ecosystem.

The memorandum with Saudia Group focuses on launching initiatives to increase environmental awareness, promote sustainable practices, and support research and innovation, while also facilitating the exchange of environmental expertise and knowledge.

The partnership with Tanmiah Food Company includes cooperation on the Al-Ahsa Green initiative, support for national environmental targets, and collaboration on environmental research and studies. It also covers financing mechanisms and coordination of various plans, activities, and local and international exhibitions.

Petromin's memorandum includes support for the Petromin Mangrove Plantation initiative in the Red Sea, along with cooperation in environmental research, knowledge sharing, and coordination on environmental programs and events both locally and internationally.

Collectively, these agreements represent broader efforts by the ministry and the Environmental Fund to foster private-sector partnerships, support sustainable investment, and drive innovation in environmental and agricultural projects. These initiatives are aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Environment Strategy, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of national sectors and boost their economic contribution.

The Environmental Fund remains a pivotal enabler of Saudi Arabia's environmental sector, focusing on developing financing, supporting research and innovation, and encouraging sustainable practices, thereby facilitating the private sector's role in the Kingdom's environmental transformation.
