Riyadh: Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley has been honored with the Global Quality Standards Award for the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, popularly known as Saudi Reef, in recognition of its exceptional performance and the successful organization of the Reef Valley exhibition at Diriyah Biennale in September.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Alfadley also initiated the entrepreneurship program for the Saudi Reef initiative. The program’s success in meeting quality standards was evident during the Reef Valley exhibition, highlighted by its expansive area, the variety of its pavilions, and the substantial number of visitors it attracted. The exhibition featured 20 distinct pavilions that showcased products from projects supported by the program, including aromatic plants, rain-fed crops, value-added products, coffee, fruits, honey, and more.
The event drew an impressive crowd, with over 10,000 visitors across all demographics over a two-day period. The ex
hibition was noted for its excellent organization and careful implementation of all associated activities. Additionally, it attracted a distinguished group of experts and professionals in the fields of agriculture and rural development, who participated in the exhibition’s various programs.
