Riyadh: The National Platform for Charitable Work, known as Ehsan, has announced the completion of 10 fully equipped mosques and prayer halls along the main transit routes used by Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. This project is part of an effort to improve services for pilgrims and promote sustainable initiatives throughout the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the construction of these mosques was made possible through the continuous support of benefactors. The platform has also planned the opening of an additional five mosques in the near future. The initiative aims to provide a comprehensive spiritual environment for pilgrims traveling to holy sites. These mosques, strategically located to serve travelers year-round, can accommodate up to 9,000 worshippers during peak religious seasons and maintain an average capacity of 2,000 worshippers during non-peak periods.
The Ehsan platform enables year-round contributions from donors across various charitable and developmental sectors, including the Ehsan Endowment Fund. This ensures the continued expansion and sustainability of the Kingdom's philanthropic framework.
