Kinshasa:The Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has announced a significant increase in the death toll from the Ebola virus, now totaling 5,340 fatalities out of 10,351 confirmed cases.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry released a statement on its website indicating that as of October 29, the DRC had recorded a total of 10,351 confirmed Ebola cases, with 5,340 resulting in death.
The ministry further detailed that the case fatality rate for the Ebola outbreak currently stands at 51.6%.
