Eastern Region Municipality Prepares Over 1,200 Facilities for Eid Al-Fitr Visitors

Dammam: The Eastern Region Municipality has completed preparations to equip public facilities across the region's cities and governorates. The work is part of an integrated operational plan to provide an attractive urban environment that reflects the festive spirit and meets increased demand during Eid Al-Fitr.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Director General of the General Administration of Media and Official Spokesperson for the Eastern Region Municipality Faisal Al-Zahrani stated that the preparations included readying 18 public parks. This involved enhancing recreational and service facilities, maintaining playgrounds and green spaces, and intensifying cleaning efforts to ensure a safe environment for families.

Additionally, Al-Zahrani mentioned that 14 seafronts and corniches were prepared. The work included comprehensive maintenance of lighting and safety elements and improvements to the visual landscape.

Furthermore, the municipality also prepared more than 979 parks and municipal squares. The work focused on the care of green spaces and the planting of seasonal flowers. It also included preparing 213 walking tracks to support healthy lifestyles and encourage sports activities.

Al-Zahrani emphasized that these measures align with the objectives of quality-of-life programs and efforts to enhance the urban landscape in the region. He also noted that inspection tours and field teams have been intensified to ensure service continuity and address observations immediately. Cleaning and maintenance operations continue around the clock to meet community expectations and positively showcase the Eastern Region during the Eid season.
