The eastern region municipality: launched an environmental initiative today to clean the seabed along the region's coastline, marking International Coastal Cleanup Day with the participation of divers and diving instructors to help protect the marine environment, reduce pollution, and promote environmental sustainability across the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality stated that the initiative forms part of a broader range of environmental programs aimed at promoting marine conservation, removing pollutants and waste, and raising awareness of the importance of protecting natural resources.

It further highlighted that the initiative reflects its commitment to leveraging specialized expertise and strengthening partnerships with community members and environmental advocates to support the sustainable management of natural resources.
