Eastern Region Governor Sponsors Initiative to Strengthen Orphan Associations Across the Kingdom

Riyadh: Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz today sponsored a ceremony at the principality diwan honoring supporters of the seventh edition of the orphan associations capacity-building and expertise exchange initiative. The event was organized by the Charity Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region (Benaa) and attended by 110 participants representing 48 orphan care associations from across the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the ceremony, Prince Saud also sponsored the signing of five cooperation agreements between the association and several entities and inaugurated the ‘Aytamna’ partnerships platform. Benaa Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Eng. Khalid Al-Zamil noted that holding the seventh edition of the initiative reflects the wise leadership’s great attention to the non-profit sector, its commitment to empowering its institutions, developing its tools, and enhancing its developmental role.

He emphasized that this edition of the initiative helps shape the future of orphan associations through artificial intelligence and digital transformation. It also serves as a national effort to strengthen institutional work in the non-profit sector by supporting the exchange of expertise, enhancing professional practices, and improving operational efficiency. This approach aims to achieve a sustainable impact that positively affects the quality of services provided to beneficiaries and keeps pace with rapid transformations in this vital sector. He added that the Aytamna partnerships platform is a national initiative designed to manage, organize, and expand collaborations supporting orphans and orphan associations across the Kingdom in all regions.
