Eastern Region Deputy Governor Reviews Passports Operations Report

Eastern region: Deputy Governor of Eastern Region Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz received in his office Director of General Directorate of Passports in Eastern Region Dhuwaihi Al-Sahli, accompanied by several senior officials.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Sahli presented a copy of the annual report 2025 on the operations of the region's passport offices, highlighting key achievements at land and air ports of entry, efforts to serve travelers, and improvements to procedures at these ports.

Prince Saud emphasized that ports of entry serve as modern gateways, pointing out that improving services at border crossings is essential for supporting economic and tourism activity and keeping pace with the growing number of travelers.

Al-Sahli reviewed key performance indicators at the region's border crossings for 2025, noting that 33.7 million travelers passed through passport control at the King Fahd Causeway in 2025, compared to approximately 33.16 million in 2024. He added that the travelers through all Eastern Region's ports in 2025 reached 63,981,275.
