Dust-Stirring Winds and Thunderstorms Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Dust-stirring winds accompanied by moderate to heavy thunderstorms, with possible hail, are forecasted for parts of Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Fog formation is also expected over the highlands of these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather forecast indicates that winds over the Red Sea will shift throughout the day. In the northern and central parts, the winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly, turning to southeasterly to northeasterly in the evening, with speeds from 10 to 25 km/h. In the southern part, the winds will vary from southwesterly to southeasterly, reaching speeds of 12 to 45 km/h. Wave heights may range from half a meter to two meters, resulting in relatively calm to choppy sea conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10 to 22 km/h. The sea will remain calm, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter.
