Riyadh: Weather conditions across several regions in Saudi Arabia are set to change on Friday, with dust-stirring winds and varying levels of rainfall expected to impact daily activities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, winds capable of stirring up dust will affect parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Tabuk, and the Eastern regions. These conditions are expected to be accompanied by moderate to heavy rain and hail in Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and the Eastern regions, while light rain is anticipated in the Madinah region.
Temperatures are forecast to rise during the day in parts of the Eastern and Riyadh regions, potentially influencing outdoor plans and activities. Meanwhile, wind patterns over the Red Sea will see northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 20-45 km/h in the northern and central areas, and northwesterly to northerly winds at 15-50 km/h in the southern area. Waves in the Red Sea will vary from half a meter to over two meters, with sea conditions ranging from calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds will shift from northwesterly to northeasterly in the northern part and easterly to northeasterly in the central and southern parts, with speeds between 13-28 km/h. The waves are expected to reach between half a meter and one and a half meters, resulting in relatively calm sea conditions.
