During his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart…Al- Sudani confirms Iraq’s support for Lebanon’s stability and its efforts to overcome economic challenges

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's support for Lebanon's stability and its efforts to overcome economic challenges and the effects of regional and global crises.

The Prime Minister's media office stated that "Al-Sudani met this evening, Tuesday (Baghdad time), with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, at its seventy-eighth session."

According to the statement, the meeting witnessed: Discussing the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to strengthen the partnership between them at various levels and fields.

The Prime Minister affirmed Iraq's support for Lebanon's stability and its efforts to overcome economic challenges and the effects of regional and global crises, based on principled positions towards our brothers, the importance of developing economic integration, and consolidating the bonds of cooperation between the two countries, in the interest of the Iraqi and Lebanese peoples.

For his part, Mikati appreciated, during the meeting, Iraq’s supportive positions and the continued support it provides to Lebanon, noting the importance of openness to more economic and investment opportunities of mutual benefit, as well as joint coordination in confronting economic challenges and the consequences of global crises and climate changes that have affected countries in the region. .
