Duba: Duba Governorate is witnessing a notable influx of residents and visitors during the mid-year school break, driven by its moderate climate and prime Red Sea coastline. This has boosted recreational and tourism activity, making the waterfront a key destination for leisure and family outings.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Mayor of Duba Municipality Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Anzi said that the Corniche in Duba is among the most prominent attractions for visitors, offering open spaces, walking paths, and designated seating areas, alongside comprehensive services that enhance the overall visitor experience. He noted that Duba's scenic coastal sites include Al-Muqayti'a Corniche, Duba Bay, the northern waterfront, and Lotus Square and Corniche, one of the governorate's most prominent tourism projects.
Covering an area of 21,000 square meters, Lotus Square features sports fields for football, basketball, and padel, as well as a tower dedicated to children's play. Al-Anzi added that the municipality continues to carry out development and enhancement works across the waterfront and public facilities, reinforcing Duba's position as a promising winter destination that meets the aspirations of both residents and visitors.
He emphasized the municipality's commitment to preparing the waterfront as an attractive and safe environment for all groups by ensuring proper lighting, cleanliness, integrated service facilities, and the maintenance of green spaces and pedestrian walkways, in line with quality-of-life objectives.
