Diriyah: The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is commemorating the legacy of late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and his journey to unify the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of this year's Saudi National Day celebrations in Diriyah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the celebrations, held under the theme "Pride and Unity," reflect the honor embodied by the established Saudi state and the solidarity symbolized by people standing united behind their leader. The theme draws on the enduring values of solidarity and pride in the homeland throughout three centuries of Saudi statehood, beginning with late Imam Mohammed bin Saud, founder of the First Saudi State, and extending to King Abdulaziz, who unified the country under one flag.

Through the celebrations, DGDA seeks to reinforce patriotism and highlight the leadership and human values of King Abdulaziz. The program explores key events and milestones in his journey of building the state, including the close relationship of trust and solidarity that developed between the leader and the people.

The celebrations also highlight the establishment of the foundations of the state, the securing of Hajj routes and pilgrim caravans, and the involvement of scholars in the state-building process. They explore King Abdulaziz's role in strengthening unity and shed light on his human qualities through stories and accounts reflecting his wisdom, closeness to the people, and respectful treatment of them.
