Diriyah Gate Set to Launch Diriyah Global Seminar in Al-Bujairi District

Diriyah: The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is preparing to launch the third edition of the Diriyah Global Seminar 2025, which will take place from December 10 to 11 in Al-Bujairi District under the theme “Sustaining Civilizations: Oases and the Continuity of Heritage.” Reflecting Diriyah’s symbolism as a vibrant cultural and environmental oasis and a center for sustainable development, featuring leading researchers and practitioners in the fields of Arabian Peninsula history, environmental studies, and world history. It aims to advance academic research on Diriyah, the Arabian Peninsula, examining its deep-rooted history and heritage within Saudi culture. It also sheds light on the global legacy of oases.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the seminar also includes a student research exhibition, serving as a platform for students to present their work and engage with experts, bridging academic concepts with real-world experiences.

Through the seminar’s programs, DGDA seeks to enhance awareness of Diriyah’s natural and cultural heritage and disseminate knowledge within the field by offering cultural and educational programs and interactive exhibitions. These activations provide a unique experience that reflects the role of water in the emergence of Diriyah and its evolution over time, alongside the authority’s environmental preservation efforts, showcasing the harmony of heritage, nature, and innovation in shaping a more balanced and sustainable future for the region.
