Diriyah Celebrates National Day with Cultural and Military Events

Diriyah:The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) commemorated the Kingdom's National Day with a wide array of cultural, historical, and military activities. These events transformed Diriyah's historic sites, public squares, and scenic vistas into vibrant stages celebrating the nation's heritage. According to Saudi Press Agency, Ahlam Al-Thunayan, Senior Director at DGDA, expressed that the celebrations embody values of solidarity and pride, connecting new generations to the founding history and the legacy of King Abdulaziz. The year's program included a joint military and equestrian procession in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, which began at the DGDA headquarters and moved towards Wadi Hanifah along the Imam Abdulaziz bin Saud Road. Additionally, a military motorcycle parade, organized with the Ministry of Defense, traveled through prominent local roadways and landmarks. In the UNESCO-listed At-Turaif District, advanced visual mapping and light shows projected onto the walls of Salwa Pal ace depicted the founding of the Saudi state. These displays were complemented by traditional Ardah performances and guided heritage tours. DGDA also held cultural sessions featuring educational dialogues and poetry evenings focused on the Kingdom's national history. At Al-Bujairi Terrace and Zallal, festivities included traditional Samri performances, musical showcases, interactive workshops, and community activities, positioning Diriyah as a central hub of the national celebration.
