Kuwait City: Director General of Saudi Civil Defense Major General Dr. Hammoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj led the Kingdom’s delegation at the Sixth Arab Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Kuwait. The delegation included representatives from the Ministries of Interior, Energy, Foreign Affairs, Environment, Water and Agriculture, and Economy and Planning, as well as the Secretariat of the National Risk Council.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Major General Al-Faraj reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting regional and international efforts in disaster risk reduction, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and knowledge exchange to enhance preparedness and response. He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s initiatives in addressing climate and environmental challenges, its progress in achieving the goals of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, and its leading role in providing humanitarian and relief assistance.
