DGDA Inaugurates Al-Midan Park in Al-Khalidiya District

Riyadh: Under the patronage of Governor of Diriyah Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) inaugurated Al-Midan Park in the Al-Khalidiya district, which houses a community center designed to serve Diriyah residents and provide a variety of activities and services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Midan Park spans an area of 14,000 square meters, with a design inspired by the Wadi Hanifa Urban Code and its tributaries. This initiative aims to unify the urban identity within efforts to implement the valley’s urban code in public areas, ensuring the integration and harmony of the urban fabric within the supervisory area surrounding Diriyah Gate.

The park includes a mosque and a multi-purpose community center, along with various facilities and services. The center offers a range of services to accommodate events and activities, including a library, a caf©, spaces for social activities, co-working areas, and a children’s hospitality zone.

Moreover, the park features green areas, children’s recreational facilities, sports fields, and walking and running tracks, creating a community environment that fosters interaction among residents.

The park’s design embodies the spirit of Diriyah and its values of harmony, pride in identity, and connection to nature. It aims to host recreational, cultural, social, and sports events, serving as a platform for creators across different fields to pursue their hobbies and share knowledge. This helps enhance the role of parks as spaces that bring residents together, strengthen social bonds, and encourage participation from all segments of society through community initiatives and volunteer activities.
