Riyadh: The Ministry of Education and the General Authority for Defense Development, in collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy, the National Company for Mechanical Systems, and the Colleges of Excellence, launched the Defensethon challenge at the World Defense Show 2026 to enhance the skills of middle school, high school, and university students.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Defensethon focuses on building national capacity across four key areas: programming, robotics, aviation and unmanned vehicles, and digital manufacturing. Using a competitive format, it aims to inspire innovative thinking in defense technologies.
