Riyadh: Severe storms ravaged the central and eastern United States, claiming 17 lives and triggering flood warnings. States from Arkansas to Ohio were battered by storms and tornadoes, resulting in extensive damage. Trees were uprooted, buildings and roads were destroyed, and power outages occurred.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Tennessee was hit hardest, with 10 fatalities, while Missouri and Kentucky each reported two deaths. Arkansas, Indiana, and Mississippi recorded one fatality each.

In Kentucky, a tornado demolished numerous buildings in Jeffersontown.
