DCO Secretary-General Meets UN Chief in Riyadh to Discuss Digital Cooperation

Riyadh: Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya met in Riyadh with United Nations Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres to discuss collaborative efforts to advance digital cooperation in the context of the DCO’s observer status at the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting reviewed promising opportunities to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two sides in areas of shared priority, particularly in accelerating inclusive digital transformation, enhancing digital governance, and promoting the responsible adoption of emerging technologies in ways that support sustainable development and digital prosperity for all.

According to Saudi Press Agency, both sides underscored the importance of multilateral collaboration as a key enabler in addressing global digital challenges, emphasizing the need to reinforce international partnerships to ensure that all countries and communities benefit fully from the opportunities offered by the digital economy, with a focus on inclusivity, capacity-building, and closing digital gaps.
