Buraidah: The 'Dates Channel' has emerged at the Buraidah International Dates Carnival as a specialized media platform telling the story of the Saudi palm tree through visual storytelling. It follows the carnival's economic and marketing activities. It produces multilingual content showcasing the quality and diversity of the national product, while opening broader avenues to reach audiences both locally and internationally.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the carnival's organizing committee has allocated a dedicated space for the channel at the Palm Center south of Buraidah, featuring a studio equipped with the latest technology to produce programs, reports, and bulletins that monitor market activity and highlight date varieties and palm products, as well as the sector's related commercial activity and marketing opportunities.
The channel bears the name given to it by the governor of Qassim Region. It is the first television platform dedicated to palm products to broadcast live from within the carnival, as part of an initiative to present Saudi dates through a modern media approach that combines information and visual storytelling while reflecting the national identity and agricultural heritage associated with the palm tree.
The Buraidah International Dates Carnival, which began on August 1 and runs for 75 days, continues to draw significant economic activity, with sales exceeding SAR98,015,377, reflecting the scale of commercial activity during the date season.
