Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) has published the knowledge guide for Flag Day through its digital library, via its official website and social media accounts, to serve as a reliable reference for historical and knowledge-based content related to the Saudi flag and to support media and educational content associated with this national occasion.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the guide aims to document the history of the Saudi flag and its development, and to highlight its symbolism and significance in national identity by presenting documented historical information that sheds light on its role in the Kingdom's history and culture.

The guide includes several knowledge-based themes, most notably: the historical background of the Saudi flag, its symbolism and meanings, the laws and regulations governing its use, and the protocols for its raising and use. It also documents its presence in historical journalism, such as the Umm Al-Qura and Sawt Al-Hijaz newspapers, as well as appendices and documentary photographs that provide comprehensive material for researchers and those interested.

Darah CEO Turki Al-Shuwaier explained that publishing the knowledge guide comes within the foundation's efforts to make reliable historical content accessible and to strengthen the presence of national symbols in the knowledge and media space. He emphasized that the guide provides documented academic material to support media institutions, educational entities, and researchers with historical information on the Saudi flag.

He added that this national occasion reflects the deep meanings the Kingdom's flag carries in the history and identity of the state, as well as the values it symbolizes, including monotheism, pride, and justice. He stressed that highlighting the flag's history and symbolism enhances national awareness and strengthens a sense of belonging among future generations.
