Madinah: The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program, held sessions today for a forum on historical sites associated with the Prophet's biography as part of the ongoing Umrah and Ziyarah Forum being held in Madinah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, four sessions addressed specialized topics, including the experiences of national institutions in verifying and preserving sites linked to the Prophet's biography. The sessions highlighted practical models within the Kingdom and explored ways to enhance the visitor experience by presenting these historical sites more effectively.
Experts discussed how national institutions preserve, manage, and develop historical sites to enhance their scientific and historical significance, and also explored the legal and Islamic guidelines governing the proper handling and presentation of sites associated with the Prophetic biography. The forum seeks to establish a scientific approach to documenting sites associated with the Prophet's life, explore educational applications, showcase modern presentation technologies, highlight government efforts, and strengthen institutional collaboration.
