Buraidah: Cultural, heritage, and folklore events at the Buraidah Dates Carnival drew wide public interest, with the participation of productive families, craftsmen, and female entrepreneurs at the King Khalid Cultural Center.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the carnival was organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, under the supervision of the Principality of Qassim Region. It featured diverse activities that introduced visitors to Saudi heritage, farmers’ products, and agricultural practices, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting techniques presented by specialized farmers.
Productive families and female entrepreneurs showcased popular dishes, crafts, and handicrafts for which the region is renowned, helping preserve its rich cultural heritage. Visitors were also introduced to more than 100 varieties of dates, along with their derivatives and the processing industries associated with them.
