Riyadh: The eighth edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival in Taif is generating economic activity beyond the racetrack across the trade, accommodation, veterinary care, services, and local products sectors, while drawing owners, participants, and visitors and creating an integrated ecosystem that combines sport and heritage with investment and development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, sales at several shops and commercial centers surrounding the historic Taif camel racing track increased by up to 60% during peak periods, amid higher demand for camel feed, livestock, and related supplies. Sales at numerous pharmacies and veterinary clinics also rose by approximately 45%, driven by growing demand for veterinary supplies, medicines, and services.

The economic activity accompanying the festival reflects the evolution of camel racing into an event spanning sport, culture, tourism, and investment, contributing to the diversification of economic opportunities and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
