Riyadh: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE), in partnership with the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), announced the launch of the ‘Game by CODE’ program, which aims to enable university students, young entrepreneurs, and game developers to enter the electronic gaming industry and promote digital entrepreneurship in the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program allows participants to develop their games within teams and benefit from an integrated incubating environment that provides specialized experts, technical guidance, and practical training, in addition to resources necessary to transform ideas into viable and scalable projects.
The program concludes with an event where participants present their projects before a select group of investors and experts in the gaming industry. The best team from each city will be awarded a spot in the MVPLab product offered by the NTDP.
The three-month program runs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Hofuf, covering the tracks of game art, game programming, game design, and entrepreneurship.
This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the digital entrepreneurship system in the Kingdom and support young national talents by refining their skills in the electronic gaming industry at both the local and international levels.
