Riyadh: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with IBM and the Saudi Quantum Technology Association, has announced the launch of the Quantum Challenge, an educational and competitive initiative to be held from November 9 to 13, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the challenge aims to enhance awareness of quantum computing among Saudi talents, enable participants to program using Qiskit, and strengthen their skills in addressing quantum optimization problems (QUBO/VQE/QAOA) and their applications in AI.
Combining hands-on training with applied challenges, the program offers participants a comprehensive journey-from foundational concepts to the development of quantum-based solutions to real-world problems, preparing a new generation of innovators to leverage quantum technologies and advance the Kingdom’s digital future.
The ministry encouraged university students and graduates specializing in computer science and advanced technologies to register for the challenge before November 1 via the link.
