Riyadh: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha welcomed Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdulsalam Haykal in Riyadh. The Syrian minister, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is in the Kingdom to participate in the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25) hosted by Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions between the two ministers centered on enhancing strategic technical partnerships and advancing joint initiatives in the realms of digital infrastructure, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The conversation also highlighted the importance of empowering youth to play an active role in building a robust digital economy that supports sustainable development.

The meeting was attended by key figures from the Kingdom’s digital economy, space, and innovation sectors, as well as Mohammed Abu Nayan, Chairman of the Saudi-Syrian Businessmen Council.
