Riyadh: The Ministry of Commerce has provided guidance on writing trade names in accordance with the new Trade Names Law for electronic applications through the Saudi Business Center platform.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the updated procedure requires only the reservation of the trade name, without specifying the entity type (sole establishment or company) or the type of commercial activity, thereby streamlining the process of starting a business.

The new Trade Names Law and its executive regulations, which went into effect on April 3, 2025, enhance confidence in the commercial environment by organizing the reservation and registration of trade names in the commercial register, thus increasing their value and ensuring their protection and associated rights.
