Cold Weather and Dusty Winds Forecast Across Kingdom

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Saturday, predicting cold to very cold conditions in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom. This weather pattern is also expected to extend to the highlands of the Makkah and Al-Baha regions, with potential occurrences of fog and frost during the night and early morning hours.

According to Saudi Press Agency, dust-stirring winds are anticipated to affect parts of the Eastern, Tabuk, Madinah, and Makkah regions. Over the Red Sea, winds will vary by region; in the northern and central parts, they will be northeasterly to northerly at speeds of 15-40 km/h, while in the southern part, they will shift from northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 10-25 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are expected to range from half a meter to two meters, with the sea conditions being calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the winds are forecasted to be westerly to northwesterly with speeds of 20-50 km/h. The sea in this region will also see waves ranging from one to two meters, maintaining a calm to choppy state.
