Coalition Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Airports and Civilian Sites

Riyadh:The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has condemned the Houthi militia for its recent attacks on civilian airports and facilities, including the King Khalid International Airport. Major General Turki Al-Malki, the coalition's official spokesperson, emphasized that these assaults pose a significant threat to civilians and travelers, constituting a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Malki expressed his condolences to the families affected by these attacks and wished the injured a speedy recovery. He highlighted that targeting holy sites, civilians, and infrastructure reflects a pattern of behavior by the Houthis that contradicts humanitarian principles.

Al-Malki described the attacks on King Khalid International Airport and other civilian sites in Saudi Arabia as cowardly terrorist acts, endangering tens of thousands of innocent people who use these facilities daily. He also noted the systematic hostile approach of targeting Makkah and Madinah, which threatens the safety of visitors and pilgrims.

The spokesperson revealed that the Houthi militia has acquired advanced technologies, including ballistic missiles and various offensive weapons, with assistance from regional actors. The coalition's Joint Forces Command has successfully dismantled a network of storage facilities and missile launch platforms used by the militia in Sanaa, Saada, and Amran.

Al-Malki praised the efficiency of Saudi Arabia's air defense systems in intercepting and preventing attacks. The Joint Forces Command remains committed to countering Houthi threats and dismantling their offensive capabilities, including targeting weapons depots and missile platforms.

He further stated that the militia exploits civilian objects and vital resources, such as Al-Sabaha Central Station in Sanaa and fuel reserves in Hudaydah, Sanaa, and Dhamar, to support its war efforts. Al-Malki called for an immediate cessation of all Houthi terrorist operations against civilians and civilian infrastructure, including airports and oil facilities.
