Makkah: Civil Defense forces assigned to Hajj operations carried out a fire drill today at a hotel in Makkah as part of preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season, with the participation of relevant authorities. The drill was to ensure field readiness for safeguarding pilgrims' safety. The drill included firefighting and rescue operations, evacuation of hotel guests, response to entrapment and injury cases, smoke extraction procedures, activation of medical triage, and support operations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the exercise aimed to test and enhance the coordination among different agencies involved in the Hajj operations, ensuring a swift and effective response to any potential emergencies during the pilgrimage season. The drill is part of the broader safety measures being implemented to protect the millions of pilgrims expected to attend this year's Hajj.
